• Description of portfolio Thailand

This portfolio is the sixth travel journal from the 5 Elements Collection created in Thailand. The four elements of Metal, Wood, Earth and Water have been selected.
The gold on the votive papers which honour the statue of a distinguished Buddhist represents metal.
Water is evoked by the sacred fish of a river which crosses the gardens of a southern temple but also by the reflection of a Chiang Mai Buddha. Wood is illustrated by the teak of the king¹s summer palace in Hua Hin.

The earth is represented by the brick temples of Ayutthaya and the figurines at the feet of a Buddha from Sukkhothaï.

The graphic design of the parchments is based on Thai inscriptions and of the stele of the king "Ramkhamhaeng The Great" who reigned in the 13th century.

The sets are printed in water on Rives BFK 250g paper with natural Japanese inks.
The texts and calligraphy are printed on ³Cloudy Parchment Paper² 90g.
Book 35x45cm. Photolithograph 28x38cm. Limited to 999 copies.
