• Description of portfolio Singapore

This portfolio is the seventh work from the ŒFive Elements¹ collection created in Singapore. It differs from the previous portfolios through its use of black and white photography, particularly for flora and the aquatic.
Wood is evoked by the rainforest that rises up in the heart of the city, something almost unique in the world, also found in Rio in Brazil.

The junks fly their shining Chinese lanterns, and the water lilies from the famous Botanic Gardens symbolize Water. Metal is represented by the numerous bridges across the river that crosses the central business district situated a few kilometres from the rainforestŠIt is then a Œnatural stone¹, sculpted from one of the lush parks, that embodies the Earth.

The graphic design of the parchments is based on ŒMerlion¹, emblem of Singapore, and represents the various languages spoken in Singapore: Chinese, Tamil, Malay and English.
These six original photographs are reproduced using a Four color process on "Flora Velum" 240g made of cotton, recycled paper and natural fibres.
The texts and calligraphy are printed on ³Cloudy Parchment Paper² 90g.
Book 35x45cm. Photolithograph 28x38cm. Limited to 999 copies.
